Save time and money, increase revenue, add quality to your network planning, find broadband potential and secure your competitive edge with:

Competitive Broadband Edge® (CBE®)

This powerful demographic focused marketing tool for the telecommunications industry will target and identify the customers most likely to purchase your products and services.

With the success of Fiber-To-The-Premise (FTTP) and the bandwidth demands of Triple Play - the need for specific, cost effective network planning grows more crucial every day - Kenton Group can and will make a difference with our Competitive Broadband Edge  capability.

Why does CBE and ZIP+4 revolutionize your network planning?

The typical demographical analysis that is commercially available uses the Census Block Group (CBG) algorithm which provides information on an average of 300 to 400 households.  The demographic information is the same for each household in a CBG.

However, CBE uses ZIP+4 as its core geography algorithm.. ZIP+4 geography provides details on an average of 4 to 6 households - typically a side of a city block.

How does CBE create more clarity in your network planning, reduce your costs, and increase your revenue?:

By using ZIP+4 you can zoom into a residential block face and provide a comprehensive demographic view of your market.

CBE combines the smallest US Postal geography… the ZIP+4 algorithm to join the power of demographics and geography with  Kenton Group’s proprietary algorithm – Consumer Broadband Index (CBI™) - to segment, analyze and target the best marketing opportunities for your telecommunication products and services.

CBE using the CBI algorithm is as precise as current technology will allow

Unlike other demographic analysis products which utilize aged census data or statistically projected data, CBE utilizes current demographic data accumulated at the time the analysis is performed. You get current up-to date information for your ZIP+4 geography.

CBE is a revolutionary market planning tool which combined with your own facility infrastructure and competitor information visually maps the consumers in your market area, to provide you the information you need to:

·         Find potential broadband customers

·         Where to sell FTTX or DSL

·         Determine who will buy broadband services

Make CBE your Competitive Edge

 Additional competitive advantages with CBE...

Local Exchange Profiling Pinpoint areas of opportunities for residential or business locations

Improve Your Customer Service – Get to know your customer profiles with precise demographics.  You will know what services your existing customers are purchasing making it possible for you to offer more valuable promotions and increase sales.

Prospect Profiling – Target the prospects that are most likely to purchase your services, saving marketing costs and increasing the probability of success.

Visualization – See your market and identify your areas of opportunities.  With CBE you can see where your customers are located – spot your competitors’ weaknesses - plan your infrastructure plans support

CBE and CBI were created specifically for the telecommunications industry – Unlike other products that target a wide range of market disciplines, CBI uses demographics that are pertinent to telecommunications products.

 Now for the Details…..

What is a ZIP+4 geographical area?

A ZIP+4 is a US Postal geography which defines one side of a city block. In a ZIP Code, there is an average of 10,000 ZIP+4s. In the entire U.S. there are more than 40,000,000 ZIP+4s. The ZIP+4 is the smallest geographical level for the US Post Office. It represents a very small geographical area.

What demographics are used to calculate a CBI?

CBI uses a number of demographic variables that reflect on the ability of a customer to purchase a telecommunication product. The variables include:

• # of adults per household

• # of persons per household

• Age of persons in the household

• Households with children

• Household income

• Length of residence

• Residence type

• Home value

• Marital status

What is the algorithm that creates the CBI?

The CBI algorithm is a proprietary formula. Each demographic variable is assigned a specific weighting factor base on the research performed by BITI (Business Information Technology, Inc). The algorithm has been validated using actual known purchasing data. The algorithm is flexible enough to address specific requirements of the telecommunication company.

Where do the consumer demographics come from?

BITI contracts with a variety of sources that maintain specific household information. The information is continually updated to insure its currency and accuracy.

Who is BITI?

Business Information Technology, Inc. is a GIS company that specializes in applying geographic solutions to industry issues. BITI has been in existence for more than 12 years. Prior to BITI, the principle partners were executives of DataMap, a geo-demographic company.
